About Aroxo

Who is Aroxo?

The Aroxo group of companies was founded by Andrew Culpan and Matt Rogers in 2006 as the primary vehicle for creating and deploying an innovative new buyer driven commerce exchange into the UK. Aroxo aims to permanently change the way people trade goods and services online.

The Aroxo group currently comprises the following companies:

  • Aroxo Ltd was incorporated in the UK on the 31st August 2006 and acts as the holding company for technology and IP for the business. It's 100% owned by the original founders.
  • Aroxo UK Ltd was incorporated in the UK on the 7th September 2007 and acts as the holding company for UK operational business. Aroxo UK Ltd is 100% owned by Aroxo Ltd.

  • Aroxo Software handles the technology and software development for the Aroxo system.

Aroxo in a nutshell

Aroxo is a completely new way to buy and sell online. There is no need to ever again waste time searching multiple websites for the best deal as Aroxo brings key sellers directly to you.

  1. As a buyer you simply 'Say What You’ll Pay' for thousands of items which will soon include everything from MP3 Players to laptops to washing machines.
  2. Sellers compete for your business and send you their best offer for the item you want. The seller will include their price plus any delivery charges and details of their returns policy etc.
  3. Buyers simply compare seller offers and can buy immediately or negotiate in private for a better deal.

For a buyer Aroxo is really easy to use and there's no commitment to buy, just to 'Say What You'll Pay'. It's also free and is completely anonymous as no-one gets your details until you decide to complete your purchase.

For a seller Aroxo is a new and efficient sales channel in a tough trading environment, where sellers can access pre-qualified sales leads (i.e. people who really want what you are selling and who have taken the time to state what they want and the price they are willing to pay for it)! Potential buyers can be targeted with precision based on price, location and previous transaction history. Once a seller's stock list has been uploaded, real-time demand for each item can be seen and buyers can be targeted. As prices are not publically disclosed it's perfect as a channel to sell stock at a discount without canibalising your existing sales channels.

So that’s Aroxo in a nutshell – as you can see, there's no good reason why you shouldn't give it a try.

About the Aroxo co-founders

Aroxo was born from the imaginations of Andrew Culpan and Matt Rogers. They are both very active on the internet (follow Matt on Twitter), but were frustrated by the buying and selling experiences which you could find online. Matt and Andy noticed that although negotiating in stores was very common, it just didn’t happen online. They didn’t think this was fair so they created Aroxo.

Andrew Culpan, is a true Yorkshireman. Professionally he was most recently the Vice President of Strategy at MTV in the UK and before that a Strategist at Orange. Andrew has also travelled around the world taking photographs.

Matt Rogers has spent the last few years around mobile phones working for T-Mobile and Orange. Before that he was a management consultant doing market design and economics (although he wouldn't employ one now)! Matt has also travelled the world and his photographs are substantially superior to his co-founder's. You can see an example here.
