How to Buy on Aroxo - Overview

Once you have registered buying on Aroxo is a simple process that will only take a few minutes to complete. All you need to do is:

  1. Create a ‘Want-it-Note’ which lets sellers know exactly what you want and how much you want to pay
  2. Review seller offers to decide who to buy from
  3. Negotiate if you fancy trying for a better deal

It really is that simple.

We have built Aroxo to take the hard work out of buying online – Our aim is to get you the best prices online and make the buying process as simple as possible.

Each of stage in the process is explained in more detail below.

How do I tell Aroxo what I want to buy?

All you need to do is create what we call a Want-it Note. The process is very simple and once you've registered it takes you just a few seconds to do.

As an example let’s assume that you want to buy an ‘Apple iPod Touch 16 GB’ for £200. The simplest way to find the iPod would be to enter the item name in the search box at the top of the screen. The search results will show you the iPod and if you click on the item you will be taken to a page showing the full details of the item, just like a normal shop.

After reviewing the details all you do is click on the ‘I WANT ONE OF THESE’ button.

How do I create my Want-it-Note?

Once you have found the item you want you will be taken to the Want-it Note page. A Want-it Note allows sellers to quickly see your requirements. All you do is:

  • Enter the price you want to pay, say £200
  • State the condition of the item that you are wanting, say Brand new
  • Enter any other information you want to tell the supplier about you needs
  • Let Aroxo know the length of time you want your Want-it Note to be active

Then, simply click the ‘I WANT ONE OF THESE’ button to confirm your details.

That’s it your done!  You have created your Want-it Note and sellers will now be able to make personalised offers directly to you.

How long before I receive any offers

Generally within a day from creating your Want-it note (depending on the price you entered!) you should start to receive your first offers. This will be communicated to you via email or will be shown in your 'My Aroxo' control panel.

Note: Make sure you check back with Aroxo on a regular basis as seller offers are usually valid for a short period of time. This enables them to offer competitively prices by selling stock through Aroxo quickly.

How do I view my offers?

To view an offer you have 2 options both available from within your 'My Aroxo' control panel:

  1. Simply find the item that you have listed on your To Do List. You may need to expand as we only show 3 offers at a time and then click the Go button to view the offer.
  2. Select the item that you want to view offers for in the My Want-it Notes section on the same page - This time all offers you have received for the item will be shown in a list.

How do I read an offer?

Here is an example offer which you might receive on Aroxo:

offer

Aroxo automatically compares what you wanted with what a seller has offered you. Differences in price, functionality and condition are highlighted.

We have a simple matching mechanism:

  • Green ticks show an exact match
  • Double Green ticks show that something is better than what you wanted, for example a seller may offer you a 32 GB iPod vs the 16 GB that you wanted
  • Red Cross indicates the offer does not match your request

If you have received more than one offer its worth checking the details of each offer (price, delivery times) so you end up buying from the best seller.

How do I buy something?

If you’re happy with one of the offers then simply click the ‘ACCEPT’ button at the end of the offer page. You then need to complete a couple of confirmation pages where you select your delivery address and make payment for the item.

I fancy negotiating with a seller - how do I do that?

Should you want to negotiate with a seller over the price, delivery date or sales terms simply press the ‘NEGOTIATE’ button at the end of the offer.  This will take you through a couple of screens where you can detail your changes.

Notes on Negotiation:

  • Some sellers may restrict this service if they have already sent you’re their lowest / best price so no ‘NEGOTIATION’ button will show on the offer page
  • If you negotiate with a seller and they agree to your new terms a sale will have occurred. You’ll then be committed to buying the item from the seller.
  • Due to this you can only negotiate with one seller at a time to prevent you from buying multiple items
  • You can cancel your negotiation at any point, should you change your mind, as long as it's before the seller accepts it
  • A seller can counter-offer your negotiation!

Is Aroxo the cheapest place to buy online?

Whilst we cannot guarantee that our prices are the cheapest we have selected and negotiated special deals from many online merchants. We have made sure our seller fees are amongst the most competitive in the market so our suppliers can pass better discounts to you.

To help you get the best prices, sellers will review your User Rating / Feedback level. The better this is the more chance that suppliers will offer you their lowest prices as they know you are more likely to quickly complete a purchase.

As we continue to grow both our users and supplier network the prices offered are likely to continue to fall - So spread the word about Aroxo and everyone will benefit.

I cannot find the item I want?

At present Aroxo is still rolling out its products range. Whilst we are doing this we may have a few gaps in our catalogue. We aim to have the latest products that our sellers have in stock and available for immediate sale enabling you to get timely offers.

We are constantly updating our catalogue to capture the latest products in the market but we may occasionally we miss a few. If this is the case please let us know and we will do our best to include it in the next update.
